This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to subdivide and issue separate patta in the name of the petitioner, in respect of the property bearing survey No.397/3 with an extent of 2.00 Acres (Hectare 0.81.0) out of 5.25 acres, southern portion situated at Kavalakurchi Village, Alangulam Taluk, Tenkasi District, by considering the petitioner's application dated 14.07.2023.
2. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. According to the petitioner, he has made an application to the respondent on 14.07.2023, seeking to subdivide and issue separate patta in respect of the property bearing Survey No.397/3 to an extent of 2.00 acres (Hectare 0.81.0) out of 5.25 acres, southern portion situated at 2/5
Kavalakurchi Village, Alangulam Taluk, Tenkasi District. However, no action has been taken by the respondent till date. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

Considering the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 14.07.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity to the parties concerned, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
