ORDER
By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.
2. This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to de-freeze the Joint Account No.20059710898, Branch Code - 809 in State Bank of India, SME Branch, Aruppukkottai Virudhunagar District, and permit the petitioner to operate the petitioner's Army Pension amount.
3. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent Bank drew my attention to the communication already sent by the second respondent Bank to the petitioner, wherein, it has been categorically stated that with reference to the petitioner's letter dated 17.01.2024, requesting to de-freeze his Account No.20059710898, his account has been de-freezed on 21.01.2025. It was also further intimated in the said 2/4
communication that the aforesaid account is not at all a pension account and it was advised by the second respondent Bank that misrepresenting facts would lead to administrative delay in providing good resolution to further problems. Further, it was also clarified that for the past 2 1⁄2 years, there was no financial transaction in the aforesaid account.
4. Recording the same, I find that the petitioner's plight has already been resolved and the account has been de-freezed. The second respondent is directed to permit the petitioner to operate the account.
5. With the above said direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
