CRIME NO.40/2019 ... RESPONDENT / COMPLAINANT Petition filed praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court may be pleased to pass an order of an extension of time to comply to deposit the amount of Rs.2,80,000/- before the lower court as per order granted in Crl.O.P.(MD) No. 124/2020 dated 09/01/2020 in respect of Crime No.40/2019 of the respondent police with suitable modification of the amount.

Order : This petition coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.S.SURESHKUMAR, Advocate for the petitioner and of MR.SAKTHIKUMARAN, Additional Public Prosecutor on behalf of the Respondent, the court made the following order:- Vide Order dated 09.01.2020, I had granted anticipatory bail to the petitioner on condition that she must deposit a sum of Rs.2,80,000/-. The petitioner is unable to comply with the said condition. Hence, this miscellaneous petition has been filed for extension of time.

2. The petitioner's counsel pointed out that even as per the First Information Report, the amount involved is only Rs.2,60,000/-.

3. Therefore, the order earlier passed by me is modified and extension of time is also granted. The petitioner is given time till 30.04.2022 for depositing the said amount of Rs.2,60,000/-. If the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CRL MP(MD) No.2339 of 2022 petitioner fails to deposit the said amount, the earlier order passed granting anticipatory bail to the petitioner shall get automatically lapsed. It is made clear that the petitioner will not be entitled to file any other petition for extension of time.

4. This petition is allowed on these terms.
