Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to issue the legal heirship certificate in petitioner's favour due to the death of the petitioner's husband Balu based on the petitioner's representation dated 21.10.2021 within the time stipulated by this Court.

*********** This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.10.2021 seeking for issuance of legal heirship certificate owing to the death of her husband. 2.Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and submits on instructions that the petitioner's representation has already been considered and has been rejected, since the petitioner is the second wife of the deceased. The said statement is recorded.

3.However, learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that till date a copy of the order has not been served on the petitioner and therefore, the said order may be served on the petitioner by the respondent to enable the petitioner to challenge the same in accordance with law. W.P.[MD]No.2515 of 2022 4.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to serve a copy of the order under which the petitioner's representation for issuance of legal heirship certificate owing to the death of her husband has been rejected, within a period of two [2] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Liberty is also granted to the petitioner, if so advised, to challenge the order passed by the respondent rejecting her application seeking for issuance of legal heirship certificate for her late husband in the manner known to law. 5.With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
