Side) appearing for the respondent.

2. The petitioner apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under section 379 of I.P.C., in Crime No. 289 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

3. It is a case involving theft of 11 cardamom bags worth about Rs.11 Lakhs. The petitioner's earlier petitions were dismissed as this Court observed that his custodial interrogation is necessary. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CRL OP(MD). No.2541 of 2020 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the 11 bags of cardamom have since been recovered from another accused and therefore, the petitioner's custodial interrogation is not necessary.

5.I am unable to agree with the said submission. As rightly pointed out by the learned Government Advocate, the co-accused has clearly implicated the petitioner herein. The petitioner is having as many as 11 previous cases, that are of the same nature. 6.Therefore, it is not a fit case for granting the relief of anticipatory bail. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
