PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.7 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences under Sections 498(A), 406, 294(b), 506(1), Sections 3(1) and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, in Crime No.7 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the de facto complainant is the wife of A1 and she was married in the year 2020 to A1. The allegation is that the de facto complainant was treated with cruelty and there was a demand for dowry.

3. A1 is the husband of the de facto complainant. A2 and A3 are the mother-inlaw and father-in-law of the de facto complainant. A4 is the sister-in-law of the de facto complainant and A6 is the husband of A4. A5 is the brother-in-law of the de facto complainant. A7 is the aunt of A1.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the material records of the case.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the fact that there is a matrimonial dispute involved, this Court is of the view that the custodial interrogation of the petitioners may not be required. Therefore, there shall be a direction to the respondent police to follow the procedure under Section 35 of the BNS, 2023. The respondent police shall complete the investigation as expeditiously as possible.
