Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the fourth respondent to convene a peace committee meeting between the petitioner and all Pangalis and to ensure the petitioner to participate in worship, Poojas rituals in respect of Thoothur Ayyanar Temple and other six temples in Thoothur Village, Kesarapatti Post, Ponnamaravathy Taluk, Pudukkottai District based on the representation dated 03.01.2022.

ORDER

Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this Writ Petition. However, he seeks liberty to file a Writ Petition, in case, he is not permitted to attend the temple festival scheduled to take place on 10.02.2022.

2. Learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 to 5 has placed before this Court, proceedings dated 31.01.2022, under which, it is stated that the peace committee meeting is scheduled to take place on 01.02.2022 at 3.00 P.M. According to the learned Government Advocate, on instructions, the petitioner failed to participate in the said peace committee meeting.

3. However, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has not been intimated about the said peace committee meeting which was held on 01.02.2022.

4. Since the temple festival is scheduled to take place on 10.02.2022, no orders can be passed at the last hour. If at all, the petitioner is aggrieved by the refusal of permission to attend the temple festival scheduled to take place on 10.02.2022, he is granted liberty to challenge the same in accordance with law by filing a separate Writ Petition.

5. In the aforesaid terms, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
