No.2616 of 2023 :- This Petition filed under Sec. 482 of Cr.P.C., extend the time for the petitioners to pay the cost amount to the credit of Chief Justice Relief Fund (Payable in account section of the High Court Registry) as imposed by this Honble Court in Crl.OP(MD) No.14171 of 2018 dated 10.08.2018.

Prayer in CRL OP(MD). No.14171 of 2018 :- This Petition filed under Sec. 482 of Cr.P.C., to call for the records pertaining to Crime No.247/2017 on the file of the Usilampatty Taluk Police Station, Madurai District and quash the same as far as the petitioners are concerned. ORDER:- This Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr. R. Prasanna, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr. R. Suresh Kumar,, Government Advocate (Criminal Side) for the 1st respondent, this Court made the following order:

"This petition has been filed to extend the time to pay the cost amount to the credit of Chief Justice Relief Fund (Payable in account section of the High Court Registry) as imposed by this Court in Crl.O.P(MD)No.14171 of 2018 dated 10.08.2018. 2.The 3rd petitioner is present before this Court. A direction was issued to the petitioner in Crl.O.P(MD)No.14171 of 2018 dated 10.08.2018. to pay the cost of Rs.1,000/- to the credit of Chief Justice Relief Fund (Payable in account section of the High Court Registry). According to him, the cost was not informed to the petitioner by the Advocate who was appearing for him before this Court. The 3rd petitioner is going to enroll himself as Advocate on the file of the Bar Council, Tamilnadu.

Only at the time of enquiry with regard to enrolment proceedings, he came to know that such a cost has been ordered in the original petition. 3.Eventhough there is huge delay, but considering the above said position and situation, 15 days time is granted to the petitioner to pay the cost amount that was imposed by this Court in Crl.O.P(MD)No.14171 of 2018 dated 10.08.2018, from today."
