O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to consider the appointment of the petitioner to the post of Village Assistant at Poyyamani Village, Viralimalai, Pudukottai District, in pursuant to the notification No.3810/2022/A3 issued by the second respondent dated 10.10.2022 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 28.01.2023 within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that she belongs to SC Arunthaiyar Community and she completed 12th standard. While so, the second respondent issued a notification dated 10.10.2022 inviting application from eligible candidates for appointment to the post of Village Assistant. The petitioner has also participated in the selection process. However, 2/5

the said post is not filled up in respect of petitioner's village. Hence, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 28.01.2023. However, the same has not been considered till date. Thereby, the present writ petition is filed.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the respondents are directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 28.01.2023, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.

5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 28.01.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in 3/5

accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
