Heard Mr.J.Jaaswant, for Mr.R.M.Arun Swaminathan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Subbaraj, learned Special Government Pleader, for the respondent.

2. Even though the prayer sought for in the Writ Petition is for a direction to remove the petitioner's temple from the non listed category and also withdraw the number assigned to the temple, it is to be noted that the petitioner has made a representation on 21.11.2024, which was forwarded by the Joint Commissioner of HR and CE Department, Sivagangai to the respondent herein. Therefore, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.11.2024 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, in consonance with the order made in O.A.No.8 of 1984 dated 13.09.1985 by the Deputy Commissioner of HR and CE Department, Madurai, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

3. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
