ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to provide adequate police protection for the conduct of the Maha Kumbabishegam festival at Arulmigu Sri Vadakooral Chelliamman Temple, situated at Mettupatti, Seithur, Rajapalayam Taluk, Virudhunagar District, scheduled to be held on 31.01.2026, based on the petitioner's representation dated 05.01.2026.

2. Mr. A.S. Abul Kalaam Azad, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), takes notice for respondents 1 and 2. Mr. M. Muthumanikkam, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the fifth respondent.

3. Since the Maha Kumbabishegam festival of Arulmigu Sri Vadakooral Chelliamman Temple, situated at Mettupatti, Seithur, Rajapalayam Taluk, Virudhunagar District, is scheduled to be held on 31.01.2026, this Court is of the considered opinion that the Tahsildar, Rajapalayam Taluk, may be suo motu impleaded as the fifth respondent. The fifth respondent is directed to conduct a Peace Committee Meeting, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the respondents 3 and 4, and thereafter the parties shall adhere to the outcome of the Peace Committee Meeting.
