For Respondent : Mr.M.Muthumanikkam, Government Advocate (Crl. side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Section 438 of Cr.P.C. PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.34 of 2022 on the file of the Respondent police.
ORDER: The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/accused, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 147, 294(b), 354A, 323, 506(2) and 379 IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002, in Crime No.34 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that while the defacto complainant, the petitioner and other accused bathed in the river channel at Avvayar Amman Kovil, Thalakudi, the petitioner and other accused misbehaved with the defacto complainant and molested her. Hence, the complaint.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.
4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that the investigation is pending.

CRL OP(MD). No.2665 of 2022 5.Considering the seriousness and gravity of the offence alleged against the petitioner and also the fact that the investigation is pending, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
