This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to dispose of the appeal dated 19.10.2023, on merits and in accordance with law, in respect of the patta No.6627, which is wrongly issued by the 2nd respondent in respect of the property comprised in Survey No.223/331A to an extent of 36

2. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, she has preferred an appeal before the first respondent on 19.10.2023, requesting him to cancel the illegal patta in Patta No.6627 and to issue joint patta in the name of the petitioner and her daughters viz., Sri Priyadharshini and Banu, in respect 2/5

of the property comprised in Survey No.223/331A to an extent of 36 Virudhunagar District. Since the said appeal is pending before the first respondent without passing any final orders, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

Considering the above said facts, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 19.10.2023, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
