PRAYER IN CRL OP(MD)1 of 2024:Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the III Additional District and Sessions Judge/PCR Court, Madurai, to accept the surrender of the petitioners and to consider their bail application on the same day on merits in relating to Crime No.630/2023, dated 15/12/2023 on the file of the second respondent police.
ORDER:- This Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the earlier order of this Court dated dt.04.01.2024 in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.1 of 2024 and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.S.Mahendrapathy, Advocate for the Petitioners and of Mr.M.Veeranthiran, Government Advocate on behalf of the first and second respondents, this Court made the following order: The petition has been filed by the Petitioners, seeking extension of time for surrendering before the Court concerned in the order made in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.1 of 2024, dated 04.01.2024.
2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the Respondent Police.
3. Considering the submission made on either side, time granted by this Court, vide order dated 04.01.2024, made in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.1 of 2024, is extended for a period of four weeks from today. No further extension will be granted.
4. Accordingly, this petition is ordered.
