Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records in connection with the impugned order passed by the Respondent No.1 in Lr.No.2323/F.Seenivasagam, Superintendent Tenkasi/A6/2024-1/dated 30.07.2024 and quash the same and direc the Respondents to issue 75% of salay as subsistence allowance till revoking the suspension order.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to quash the order dated 30.07.2024, passed by the Respondent No.1 and for consequential direction to the Respondent to issue 75% of the salary as subsistence allowance till revoking of the suspension order.

2. Mr.Veera Kathiravan, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.R.Satheesh, Standing Counsel for the Respondent Board would submit that the request of the Petitioner has been considered and subsistence allowance is enhanced from 50% to 75% with effect from 01.07.2024 and to that effect the Chief Engineer, Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board, Madurai had issued proceedings on 05.02.2025 and he placed a copy of the said proceedings before this Court for perusal.

3.On perusal of the proceedings dated 05.02.2025, it appears that the subsistence allowance is enhanced from 50% to 75% with effect from 01.07.2024 to the Petitioner, in compliance with the order dated 01.07.2024 of this Court in W.P.(MD)No.4124 of 2024.

4. In view of the above factual position, no further adjudication is required in this Writ Petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands closed. No costs.
