The 6th defendant in O.S.No.281 of 2020 on the file of the Principal Subordinate Court, Kumbakonam, Thanjavur District, is the revision petitioner herein.

2. The said suit has been filed by the first respondent for the relief of declaration, recovery of possession, mandatory injunction and for other reliefs.

3. According to the learned counsel appearing for the revision petitioner, the suit is being adjourned from time to time without any progress. Hence, the present Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking expeditious disposal of the suit.

4. A perusal of the "B" diary extract reveals that the issues were framed on 05.01.2024 and thereafter, the suit is being posted for trial on various occasions. Finally, it was posted on 06.02.2025 in the special list.

5. According to the learned counsel appearing for the revision petitioner, on the said date, the suit was not taken up.

6. Considering the above said facts, the Principal Subordinate Court, Kumbakonam, Thanjavur District is directed to dispose of the suit in O.S.No. 281 of 2020, after giving due opportunity to all the parties on or before 31.12.2025.
