O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent police to expedite the investigation and file final report in connection with Cr.No.172 of 2018 on the file of the respondent police.

2.According to the petitioner, he has given a complaint before the respondent police on 13.07.2018 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 447, 294(b), 506(i), 420 and 109 IPC, based on which, a case has been registered in Crime No.172 of 2018. Even though, the case was registered in the year 2018, investigation has not yet been completed and final report has not been filed.

3.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that investigation is in progress and the respondent police will complete the investigation and file the final report, within a period of two months, before the concerned Jurisdictional Court.

4.Recording the statement so made, the second respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.172 of 2018 and file final report, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.This Criminal Original Petition is closed with the above direction.
