ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 417, 420 and 506(i) of IPC, in Crime No.142 of 2018, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is innocent and he has not committed any offence. He further submitted that the petitioner has not received any amount from the defacto complainant. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners. 3.Per contra, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent has submitted that this petitioner has cheated 40 persons and received more than Rs.1 crore. Rs.2,50,000/- by giving a false promise that he will make arrangements for getting a job in the Transport Department. 4.Though the learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that this case is covered in Cr.No.142/2018, a perusal of the said FIR shows that no reference has been made with regard to the present defacto complainant. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5.Accordingly, this petition is dismissed.
