The father of the 17 years old girl, being aggrieved about the inaction of the police on his complaint dated 31.12.2022 regarding missing of his daughter, is before this Court seeking issuance of writ of Habeas Corpus.

2. The respondent police, after notice in this Habeas Corpus Petition, has secured the girl, who was eloped with a boy without informing the parents. Since the girl is a minor, aged 17 years, she has been secured by the police and kept in a Home. Today the girl as well as her mother are present before this Court. The girl expressed her wish to go along with the

mother and her mother also wants to take her back and help her to complete her studies and then to choose her life partner. After counselling them, this Court is satisfied that the minor girl, on her wish, been handed over to the custody of her mother.
