ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition for a Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent/the Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation Ltd., Egmore, Chennai, to provide Local Cable TV Operator License to him, based on the recommendations made by the 2nd respondent/the Special Thasildar/Deputy Manager, Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation Ltd., Pudukkottai, by his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.177/2021 dated 12.10.2021.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has circulated a letter dated 07.08.2023 to the Registrar General (Writ) for withdrawing this writ petition, without enclosing the letter of the petitioner.

3. Today, when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, there is no representation for the petitioner.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner with a licence issued by the Postal Department has submitted an application for Local Cable TV Operator License to the first respondent. However, there was a dispute pending between the petitioner and one Malathi with regard to distribution of cable connections, which was referred to the Lok Adalat and the same was dismissed. In the event of filing any application by the petitioner along with the licence issued by the Postal Department, the same would be considered in accordance with law.

5. Recording the said submission, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
