O R D E R
This Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 herein to provide adequate police protection to the life and liberty of the petitioner and her family members, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 05.05.2019.
2. Heard both sides.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that she got married to the fifth respondent herein on 19.10.2011. When the marriage is subsisting, the fifth respondent arranged for a second marriage, that too, with a minor girl. Hence, the petitioner has given a complaint before the third respondent police, based on which, a crime has been registered in Crime No.14 of 2019 and the investigation is now pending. Pending investigation, the fifth and sixth respondents are threatening the petitioner to withdraw the complaint and also intimidating the petitioner and hence, the present petition has been filed seeking police protection.
4. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 4, on instructions, submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a crime has been registered in Crime No.14 of 2019 and now, the investigation is going on and as soon as they will file a final report.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that the investigation in Crime No.14 of 2019 is going on and in such an event, the petitioner is being threatened by the fifth and sixth respondents, the third respondent is directed to take suitable action in accordance with law.
6. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
