This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.01.2025 to rectify the inadvertent error committed in the service records of the petitioner's demised father, M.Shanmugasundaram.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that his father, who worked as conductor in the respondent Corporation, died on 06.11.2022 The petitioner is the sole legal heir of the demised father. When the petitioner approached the respondents, it came to know that in the service records of his demised father, the petitioner's grandmother was mentioned as nominee. Since his grandmother also expired, he is the only legal heir of his father. When the petitioner approached the respondents for terminal benefits of the petitioner's father, the respondents informed the petitioner that the name of his grandmother was recorded in the service records of his father as Rajamani instead of Rajamirtham. Accordingly, he submitted a representation to the respondents to rectify the error committed in his father's service records to correct the name of his grandmother. The said representation was not considered. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition has been filed. 2/5
3.
