PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), to direct the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.79 of 2020 dated 19.03.2020 for the offence under Sections 25(1B)(a), 25(1)(a) and 3 of the Arms Act, 1959, within the time stipulated by this Court. This criminal original petition is filed by the petitioner to direct the respondent police to file the final report in Crime No.79 of 2020 Page No. 1 of 4

dated 19.03.2020 on the file of the respondent.

2. According to the petitioner, based on the complaint given by the petitioner, FIR has been registered in Crime No.79 of 2020 for the offences under Sections 25(1B)(a), 25(1)(a) and 3 of the Arms Act, 1959. Thereafter, no proper investigation was conducted and so far, no final report has been filed in this case. Hence, he filed this petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that they have already completed the investigation and filed the final report on 03.02.2025. Therefore, nothing survives for adjudication.

4. Since the prayer is only to direct the respondent to file the final report and the respondent has already filed the final report on 03.02.2025, the petition has becomes infructuous. In view of the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed. No costs.
