Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 09.12.2021 sent to 1 to 3 respondents within a time stipulated by this Court, to issue Death Certificate of Petitioner's demised mother namely Mrs.Maruthayee Ammal, W/o.Perumalthevar.

*********** This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to issue Death Certificate of the Petitioner's demised mother, viz., Mrs.Maruthayee Ammal, W/o.Perumalthevar, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 09.12.2021, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.The case of the petitioner is that her mother viz., Maruthayee Ammal, died on 23.05.1997. He has submitted a representation dated 09.12.2021, seeking for issuance of death certificate for her late mother, before the respondents 1 to 3. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

W.P.[MD]No.2686 of 2022 3.The relief sought for in this writ petition is an innocuous one. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation dated 09.12.2021, seeking for the issuance of death certificate for her late mother, who died on 23.05.1997, is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after holding a proper enquiry.

4.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.12.2021, seeking for issuance of death certificate for her mother viz., Maruthayee Ammal, W/o. Perumalthevar, died on 23.05.1997 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, after holding a proper enquiry, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
