O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to complete the investigation and to file a final report in Crime No.147 of 2017.

2. According to the petitioner, she has given a complaint for the offences under Sections 147, 498(A), 323, 494, 341, 294(b) and 506 (ii) of I.P.C. and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. On 28.02.2017, based on the above said complaint, a case has been registered by the respondent police in Crime No.147 of 2017. Even though, the case was registered in the month of February 2017, investigation has not yet been completed.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police on instructions submitted that the respondent police has commenced their investigation and they will complete the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

investigation and file final report, within a period of two months before the concerned Jurisdictional Court.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file final report, within a period of two months, from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

5. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
