Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay Rs.14,82,250/- along with 18% interest being the monthly rent from 01.03.2017 till date for the office of the fifth respondent functioning at Door No.3/15, Medaiyandi Kovil Street, K.V.R.Thirumanamandapam, Thiruvenkadam, Tirunelveli District.

ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the respondents to pay a sum of Rs.14,82,250/- together with interest being the monthly rent payable from 01.03.2017 for occupying the office of the fifth respondent/the Tahsildar at Tiruvenkadam Taluk Office in Tirunelveli District at Door No.3/15, Medaiyandi Kovil Street, K.V.R Thirunaman Mandapam, Tiruvenkadam, Tirunelveli District.
2.The Writ Petition had been agitated by Mr.M.P.Senthil, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.D.Ghandiraj, learned Special Government Pleader for few hearing dates and thereafter finally, I am presented with a status report which is dated 27.01.2022 in Na.Ka.No.m2/09/2015 of the Revenue Tahsildar/fifth respondent wherein, it had been finally stated that an amount of Rs.22,87,352/- had been sanctioned and deposited in the account of the petitioner herein.
3.Another fact which is pointed out by the learned Special Government Pleader is that though the claim was only Rs.14,82,250/- but, the respondents have actually paid Rs.22,87,352/- and it is therefore stated that any further claim on the part of the petitioner would be extremely unreasonable.
4.Let me not enter into a discussion on that particular aspect, but record the fact that the amount had been credited to the account of the petitioner and the same is affirmed by the learned Counsel for the petitioner. Nothing further survives for adjudication. 5.With the said observation, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
