ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 406, 420 and 506(i) IPC in Crime No.281 of 2014 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that this petitioner and the co-accused have enrolled the de facto complainant in Jeevan Mathur Policy floated by the Life Insurance Corporation of India and assured to service him. The de facto complainant has been regularly paying Rs.100/- to the petitioner and he has obtained signature in a pocket handbook. Instead of depositing the amount with the Life Insurance Corporation of India, the petitioner and the co-accused have misappropriated the amount to themselves. It is alleged by the de facto complainant that a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- is due under two policies, one in his name and the other in the name of his daughter.

3.Taking into consideration the serious nature of the allegations against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Hence, this petition is dismissed.
