O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.46 of 2019, dated 16.02.2019 and proceed with the same as per law, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. According to the petitioner, he has given a complaint for the offences under Sections 147, 294(b), 324, 506(2) IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002. On 16.02.2019, based on the above said complaint, a case has been registered by the respondent police in Crime No.46 of 2019. Even though, the case was registered in the month of February, 2019, investigation has not yet been completed.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent police, on instructions, submitted that the investigation has been completed and the respondent police will file a final report, within a period of four weeks, before the concerned Jurisdictional Court.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that the investigation is over, the respondent police is directed to file a final report, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
