2. The appellants herein had purchased certain parcels of land in the year 2008. The sale deeds were presented for registration. The sale deeds were retained on the ground that the documents have been under valued. The matter was referred under Section 47-A of 2/5

3 W.A.(MD)Nos.264 to 266 OF 2023 the Indian Stamp Act. The Special Deputy Collector(Stamps), Tirunelveli after holding enquiry, fixed the value of the lands in question. The appellants herein complied with the said order and paid the deficit amount and also took back the sale deeds. All that the appellants want is that the value as fixed by the authority concerned ought to be reflected in the guideline value register. The appellants stated that while the manual registers reflect the guideline value, there is no corresponding entry in the online portal as refixed by the Special Deputy Collector(Stamps). The request of the appellants to make changes in the online portal was negatived. Challenging the same, the writ petitions came to be filed.

3. The learned single Judge dismissed the writ petitions on the ground that this matter should be left to the policy of the Department. Challenging the same, these writ appeals came to be filed.

4. In fact, the appellants do not challenge the policy of the Department at all. All that the appellants wants is the online portal should reflect the guideline value as fixed by the authority on that particular date.

5. No exception can be taken to the petitioners' request. The orders impugned in the writ petitions are set aside. These writ appeals stand allowed. No costs.
