PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the first respondent to direct the second respondent not to harass the petitioner and his family members under the guise of enquiry.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to the second respondent not to harass the petitioner and his family members under the guise of enquiry.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has given a complaint against one Muthukrishnan alleging illegal activities to the properties belong to one Adheenam. Based on that complaint under the guise of enquiry, the second respondent police is harassing the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present petition seeking police protection. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned

Government Advocate (Crl.Side), on instructions, would submit that as on date no case or no petition is pending against the petitioner. He would further submit that the respondent police has not harassed the petitioner and nor intent to harass him.

5. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is closed. However, the second respondent is directed not to harass the petitioner without any complaint against him.
