This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent not to harass the petitioners, based on the representation dated 20.05.2019.

2. Heard both sides.

3. Admittedly, the petitioners are arrayed as the accused in Crime No.17 of 2013 for the offences punishable under Sections 307 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. On completion of investigation, charge sheet was filed and the same was taken on file as S.C.No.308 of 2014 by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Thiruchendur. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Subsequently, based on the petition filed by the defacto complainant, further investigation has been ordered and now, the Deputy Superintendent of Police is investigating the case and only for the purpose of enquiry, the petitioners were called for.

4. At this juncture, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the presence of the petitioners for enquiry is no longer necessary.

5. Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), the Criminal Original Petition stands closed.
