ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused No.2, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 294(b), 323, 341, 365, 387 and 506(ii) IPC, in Crime No.26 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused had abused the defacto complainant in filthy language, abducted him to some other place and assaulted him with hand and legs for dropping the female employees belonging to their village, in his car and they demanded a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- each and gave threat to his life by using knife and also with dire consequences. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner along with other accused, due to previous enmity, abducted the defacto complainant and demanded a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- each and gave threat to his life by using knife and also with dire consequences. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CRL OP(MD). No.2833 of 2022 5.Considering the seriousness and gravity of the offence alleged and also the fact that the investigation is pending as stated by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
