Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to grant 6 months time to comply the order passed in WP(MD) 21980/2023 dated 11.09.2023. Prayer in WP(MD). 21980/ 2023 :
Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to forthwith settle the petitioners entire retirement benefits including Provident Fund, Gratuity, Terminal Leave Salary, Surrender leave salary, for 135 days, Commuted Value of Pension, VRS Compensation, Social security scheme account and medical leave salary for 59.5 days for together with interest 6 percent per annum from the date of his retirement i.e., from 30.06.2023 to till the date on which the said benefits were settled to him.
ORDER
This Writ Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking to grant six months time to comply with the order passed in W.P.(MD).No.21980 of 2023 dated 11.09.2023.
2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Transport Corporation has submitted that they have released the terminal benefits to all those employees who had retired on or before 31.03.2023. The writ petitioner having been retired on 30.06.2023. Due to paucity of funds the Transport Corporation seeks further time to disburse the terminal benefits to the writ petitioner.
3. Considering the above said facts, this Court extends the time period till 2/4
31.03.2025, to comply with the orders of this Court passed in W.P.(MD).No.21980 of 2023 dated 11.09.2023. It is made clear that hereinafter, no further extension of time will be granted to the Transport Corporation.
4. With the above said observations, this Writ Miscellaneous Petition is ordered as prayed for.
