O R D E R

The instant Writ Petition has been filed by a Driver of the respondent Transport Corporation seeking a Mandamus as against the first respondent for disposal of the appeal filed by him.

2. A perusal of the records reveal that the petitioner was imposed with a punishment of postponement of increment for a period of three years with cumulative effect by the second respondent. Challenging the same, the petitioner has preferred an appeal to the first respondent on 20.08.2024. So far, the appeal has not been disposed of. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the above said facts, the first respondent herein is directed to consider the appeal preferred by the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
