Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to grant permission and police protection to conduct Adal Padal programme on 21.02.2021 in connection with the festival of Thillampatti Sri Mariamman Temple at Thiruvellarai Post, Manachanallur Taluk, Trichy District.

By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.
2.Mr.A.Robinson, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) accepts notice for the respondents.
3.Mr.S.Bharathy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a member of the festival committee of Thillampatti Sri Mariamman Temple at Thiruvellarai Post, Manachanallur Taluk, Trichy District and that cultural events are scheduled to be conducted on 21.02.2021. His further contention is that he has submitted a representation dated 11.02.2021 to the respondents seeking permission to conduct the said programme and till date, no action has been taken by the respondents.
4. In the circumstances, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner either in his representation or in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, this Court directs https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD)No.3208 of 2021 the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law and based on merits and on findings, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order/uploading of the order.
5. With the above observation, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
