This petition is filed to quash the charge sheet filed against the petitioner in C.C.No.110 of 2017 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.VI, Madurai. 2.There was no representation for the petitioner, when the matter was called on 12.12.2022. Today the matter is listed under the caption for dismissal and there is no representation for the petitioner today also. 3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent, on instructions, submitted that the trial in C.C.No.110 of 2017 was commenced and the case is posted for examination of defence witnesses on 26.12.2022. 4.Considering the facts that the trial is at the advanced stage, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the petition pending. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
