ORDER

This petition is filed by the petitioner to direct the respondent to complete the investigation in Crime NO.197 of 2023 and file a final report within time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. According to the petitioner, he is the defacto complainant and he lodged complaint against the accused person but no action was taken and thereafter, they filed a petition before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Vadipatti and based on the direction, FIR has been registered for the offence under Section 406, 420 and 468 of IPC., but so far no charge sheet was filed. Therefore, the present petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondent police was unable to identify the vehicle and still investigation is under process and sought two months time to file a final report.

4. Though FIR has been registered in the month of September-2023, investigation has not been completed so far. However, in order to give fair 2/4

chance to the respondent, it is appropriate to grant two months time to complete the investigation and file a final report. Accordingly, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No. 197 of 2023 and file final report within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
