Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.02.2022 and consequently direct the respondents to provide more number of police protection, installing more number of CCTV cameras to the Ward No.65, of Madurai Corporation on the date of election will be held on 19.02.2022 for the post of Corporation Councillor. ORDER

(Made by PARESH UPADHYAY,J.) The petitioner has made the above noted prayer in this petition.

2. Learned advocate for the petitioner has stated that, the petitioner is a candidate belonging to Bharatiya Janata Party and according to him, all sorts of illegalities are committed against the candidates of this political party and therefore he needs more police protection and installation of more number of CCTV cameras in the ward, where from he is contesting the election.

3. Having heard learned advocate for the petitioner and having considered the material on record we find that, such a request under normal circumstances also could not be entertained, it is more so, when it is agitated that at the instance of a particular political party it needs to be done. Such a request can not be / need not be accepted / entertained.

4. This petition is dismissed. No costs.
