Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to evict the encroachers in the Water Body in Survey No.30, Chekkankulam, situated at Chellappanayakkanpatti Village, Natham Taluk, Dindigul District by cancelling the subdivisions Nos. SF No.30/1, 30/2, 30/3 and 30/4 and the patta in Nos.546, 1263, 1308 and 457 thereby restore the classification as Chekkankulam in the revenue records, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.11.2025.

ORDER
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3. Considering the nature of relief to be granted, issuance of notice to the respondents 4 and 5 is dispensed with.
2.The case of the writ petitioner is that Survey No.30 was originally classified as "water body" and that it was erroneously reclassified during UDR, pursuant to which patta was also issued in favour of the respondents 4 and 5. 2/4
The petitioner seeks restoration of the original position. If an error has occurred during UDR, the same can be corrected only by the District Revenue Officer, Dindigul.
3.Without going into the merits of the matter, we permit the petitioner to submit a formal petition before the first respondent. The first respondent shall issue notices to the respondents 4 and 5 and other interested persons, if any, hold enquiry and pass a speaking order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four months thereafter. 4.This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
