: Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent No.1 to 5 herein to remove the encroachments made in the Government poramboke land in Survey No.98/1, Melakuyilkudi Village, Madurai South Taluk, Madurai District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 27.11.2020. ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) On the complaint made by the petitioner to the effect that in S.No.98/1, Melakuyilkudi, Madurai Distict, that encroachments have been made by the unnamed individuals, the respondent No.3 referred the same to the Tahsildar, Madurai West. Similarly, the Assistant Director (Panchayats), namely, the respondent No.2 has asked the respondent No.4 to look into the matter and take appropriate action in Na.Ka.No.2675/2020/A-4 dated 04.12.2020. Seeking to expedite the said process, the present writ petition has been filed.
2. Taking note of the aforesaid proceedings dated 04.12.2020, the respondents 4 and 5 are directed to take appropriate decision, after following due process of law, within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
3. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
