ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the appeal preferred by the petitioner on 02.12.2025, challenging the order passed by the second respondent.
2. A perusal of the records reveals that the second respondent had issued a legal heir certificate on 27.09.2006 for the death of one Sami Reddiyar.
3. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the petitioner is also the one of the daughters of the said Sami Reddiyar and her name was not included in the legal heir certificate. 2/5
Therefore, she preferred an appeal on 02.12.2025, which has not been disposed of so far. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

Even though the appeals have to be preferred within one year from the date of the order passed by the second respondent, the said order passed by the second respondent was not within the knowledge of the writ petitioner and therefore, the appeal has been filed belatedly. Hence, the first respondent is directed to consider the appeal on merits without any reference to the period of limitation.
5. Considering the above facts, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal preferred by the writ petitioner, after hearing the petitioner and all other interested parties and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this orders.
6. With the above observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
