This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent not to harass the petitioner in the name of enquiry.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that based on the complaint given by one Muthu Nachi, the second respondent police called the petitioner for enquiry and harassed him under the guise of enquiry.

3. Mr.K.K.Ramakrishnan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions would submit that the petitioner was called only for enquiry in respect of a petition pending against him. But, without appearing for the enquiry, the petitioner has filed the present criminal original petition.

4. Taking into consideration the fact that the enquiry is pending, the petitioner is directed to appear before the second respondent for enquiry and the second respondent is directed to complete the enquiry within a reasonable time.

5. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
