RESPONDENT/RESPONDENT/ COMPLAINANT Petition filed praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court may be pleased to extend the time for complying the conditions as directed by this Honourable Court in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.2739 of 2020 dated 17/02/2020 Order : This petition coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.KARTHIKEYA.C., Advocate for the petitioner and of Mr.M.V.CHANDRASEKARAN, Government Advocate (Crl.side) on behalf of the Respondent, the Court made the following order:- This petition is filed to extend the time limit of the petitioner's surrender and execute sureties in Crl.O.P(MD)No.2739 of 2020, dated 17.02.2020.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was granted anticipatory bail by this Court on 17.02.2020 in Crl.O.P(MD) No. 2739 of 2020. Since he was unable to execute sureties within time he had filed an extension petition in Crl.M.P (MD) No.3096 of 2020 and this Court by an order dated 02.06.2020 had granted further two weeks time for the reason that the Magistrate Court is not functioning due to corona lock down restrictions. In the meanwhile the petitioner was arrested in another crime number and thereafter came out on bail on 18.03.2021.Hence on 09.02.2021,when the petitioner herein approached the lower Court for executing sureties, the lower did not accept the sureties stating that the there is considerable delay in executing sureties,hence he seeks further two weeks time to comply with the conditions. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.Considering the reasons stated in the petition, this petition is ordered and the time for surrender by the petitioner before the concerned Court and executing the sureties is extended by two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, failing which the anticipatory bail already granted by this Court shall stand cancelled. It is made clear that no further extension will be granted and if the petitioner fails to comply with the order within the stipulated period, the respondent police shall secure the petitioner and proceed in accordance with law. 4.Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is allowed. sd/- 18/02/2021 / TRUE COPY / / /2021 Sub-Assistant Registrar (C.S.)
