ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the respondents to investigate and file a final report in Crime No.348 of 2012 on the file of Kamudhi Police Station, Ramanadhapuram District within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, FIR came to be registered in Crime No.348 of 2012 and that the third respondent, after completing the investigation, has already filed the final report as 'Mistake of Fact' on 19.05.2013. He would further submit that final report was not filed before the jurisdictional Court and no notice was served on the petitioner/defacto complainant. 2/4

3. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the third respondent is directed to serve notice on the petitioner/defacto complainant and also file the final report before the jurisdictional Court within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the notice, the petitioner is at liberty to file a protest petition before the jurisdictional Court.

4. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
