..Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the Impugned Refusal Check Slip of the respondent vide in No.TP/203579742/2024 dated 12.12.2024 and quash the same and directing the respondent to register petitioner's sale document of his property of house site situate at Survey Number.36 to an extent of 1012 Square Feet situate at Virudhunagar Village and Town by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.12.2024 within a time frame as fixed by this Hon'ble Court. ORDER

This writ petition came to be filed on account of the fact that the respondent, Sub Registrar refused to register a settlement deed executed by the petitioner in favour of his wife, Jeyarani.

2.The ground of refusal was that the petitioner has not produced the original documents relating to the property.

3. Taking note of the fact that several judgments of this Court have been approved by the Division Bench and confirmed by the Supreme Court that it is not essential to produce the original at the time of registration, I directed the respondent Sub Registrar to register the document and report the same to this Court.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, Mr.R.Sureshkumar, learned Additional Government Pleader has produced a communication from the respondent/Sub Registrar, in Na.Ka.No.29/2025 dated 04.02.2025, stating that the settlement deed has been registered by the respondent/Sub Registrar on 04.02.2025 and the document has been assigned in Doc.No.751/2025. 2/4

5. As the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed, no further order is necessary. Hence, this writ petition stands closed.
