Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct Kabadi on 19.02.2021 at 8.00 pm and 20.02.2021 at 5.00 pm at Deverayaneri School Ground, Devarayaneri Village, Thiruverumbur Taluk, Trichy District based on the petitioner's representation dated 13.02.2021. For Petitioner : Mr.P.Ganapathy Subramanian For Respondents : Mr.R.Saravana Kumar Government Advocate (Criminal Side)

ORDER

By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

2. Mr.R.Saravana Kumar, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) accepts notice for the respondents.

3. Mr.P.Ganapathy Subramanian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the President of Kabadi Club at Deverayaneri School Ground, Devarayaneri Village, Thiruverumbur Taluk, Trichy District and that the Kabadi Tournament is scheduled to be conducted on 19.02.2021 and 20.02.2021. His further contention is that he has submitted a representation dated 13.02.2021 to the respondents seeking permission to conduct the said Tournament and till date, no action has been taken by the respondents.

4. In the circumstances, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of two https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.3053 of 2021 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order/uploading of the order.

5. With the above observation, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
