ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by J.NISHA BANU, J.) The writ petition has been filed directing the respondents to renovate the damaged ancient Paasi Amman Temple constructed in the period of Chola Dynasty in Paasipattinam Village of Ramanathapuram District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 06.12.2022 within the period as stipulated by this Court.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that there is a temple in Passipattinam Village constructed during Chola dynasty. However, it is in dilapidated condition and hence, for renovating the same, the petitioner has sent a representation to the 3rd respondent on 16.12.2022. Pursuant to the said representation, the 4th respondent has also issued a direction to the 5th respondent through proceedings dated 20.01.2023 to take suitable action. However, no action has been taken so far and therefore, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition.
3. We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 5 and the learned 3/6
counsel for the 6th respondent.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the matter, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 06.12.2022, by giving due opportunity to the petitioner as well as 6th respondent and other interested persons, if any, and pass suitable orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
