ORDER

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner had filed this petition seeking direction against the Respondent Police not to harass the Petitioner under the guise of an enquiry. 2.The learned Counsel for the Petitioner further submitted that the third Respondent was running a Chit. The Petitioner was helping her. She was running a Chit along with a woman in the locality. About 20 persons had been subscribing to the Chits. The Petitioner was unable to settle them. Therefore, the fourth Respondent had given a complaint. The 3rd Respondent had not given any complaint. Only to help the 3rd Respondent, the 4th Respondent had given a complaint. He has no role in the Chit business. While so, the second Respondent under the influence of the 4th Respondent had been summoning the Petitioner. Therefore, the Petitioner had filed this Petition seeking not to harass him and not to involve in civil dispute. The Petitioner admits that he has to pay Rs.50,000/- to the 3rd Respondent.

3.The learned Counsel for the Petitioner undertakes that the Petitioner will settle the dues to the third Respondent within 3 months. 2/4

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), on instructions of the second Respondent, would submit that the Respondent Police are likely to close the enquiry within a period of two weeks by following the circular of the Director General of Police, Head of State Police Force, Tamil Nadu State, Chennai -4 issued in Rc.No.892914/X1/2020 dated 12.03.2021. 5.Recording the submissions of the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), this Criminal Original Petition is closed. 04.03.2024 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No jbr To
