ORDER
The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the third respondent to issue E-patta for the assignment land in S.No.959/3 at Viralipatti Village, Eluvanampatti Village Panchayat, Nilakkottai Taluk, Dindigul District.
2.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for, by consent of parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. 3.The petitioner claims to be in possession and enjoyment of the subject lands under a valid assignment deed dated 05.12.2000 in and by which Anupantha Patta has been granted to the petitioner. The petitioner has constructed a house site in the above said property and 2/4
she continues to reside therein. According to the petitioner, subsequent to the property being converted as "Natham" property and being assigned in S.No.968/2B2. The petitioner has sought for issuance of Epatta. In that regard, she has made an application on 03.01.2025 to the respondents.
4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents would submit that the third respondent is the competent authority to enquire into the matter and if eligible, issue E-patta to the petitioner.
5.Considering the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to enquire into the matter and also consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.01.2025 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
