O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to direct the third respondent not to interfere with the civil dispute and not to harass the petitioner and her family members under the guise of enquiry. 2.According to the petitioner there is a dispute between the petitioner and the fourth respondent in respect of jewels and money, thereby, the fourth respondent has lodged a false complaint before the third respondent police. Based on the same, the third respondent police started to harass the petitioner. Hence this petition has been filed. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police 1 to 3 would submit that there is a dispute pending between the parties regarding money and exchange of jewels. Therefore, the fourth respondent has lodged the complaint before the third respondent

police and the same is under enquiry. In the mean time, the petitioner has also lodged a complaint as against the fourth respondent, before the Superintendent of Police, Theni District and the same was also forwarded to the third respondent police and now, both the complaints are under enquiry. He would further submit that since both the parties have lodged complaints against each other, the matter has to be enquired elaborately and therefore, he sought for time to complete the enquiry within a period of one week. 4.Considering the nature of allegations and also considering the facts and circumstances of the case and there is a counter complaint, it is appropriate to direct the third respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner within a period of one week, from the date of this order. 5.With the above observations and direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
